A card Illustration I did for a Dark Fantasy-themed table-top card game, Legions of Kadmon.

Andrés Beltram—the one they called the royal machinist—was busy with his work. He was clutching a monstrous nail in his left hand and a hammer in his right. He drove the nail into a subject sprawled on the lab's derelict wooden bench. With every clang, there was a squelching of blood. With every clang, the subject shuddered even if he had remained unconscious. His blood had seeped into the bench and dripped to the stone floor below. When Andrés was done with one nail, he took another and repeated. He did not stop until his work was done.

What Kadmon saw in that lab was nothing short of an abomination. Lying on the lab's bench, was a Living fused with the Dead. A corpse's arm latched onto the subject's shoulder. Another hung by his torso. A wolf's eye had replaced his left eye. That was but only one of them. Hidden in the shadows at the back of the lab, there were more of them.

"Those are but failures," Andrés said, "But one day, I assure you, my sons will rise and they will become the strongest force ever seen in Morbidia."
